Shahara N. Byford

Shahara Byford is the owner and founder of Byford Construction, Inc.  She is an accomplished, African American, female that has been in the construction industry for over 25 years.  She has a diverse background of operational Project Management experience as well as leading the corporate Human Resources and Culture department for the largest general contractor in Chicago.  Shahara was a collegiate student athlete and graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2001. She received her Masters of Science in Human Resource Management in 2007 from Roosevelt University and maintains her credential as a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.  Shahara is also an ICF Certified Executive Coach and sits on the Purdue University Construction Advisory Council.  Shahara believes in giving back and is a member of  the Executive Board of Directors for both Revolution Workshop and Girls in the Game.
